Introduction

Methidathion 40% EC. Methidathion is a non-systemic organophosphorous insecticide and acaricide with stomach and contact action. Methidathion is used to control a variety of insects and mites in many crops such as fruits, vegetables, tobacco, alfalfa, and sunflowers, and also in greenhouses and on rose cultures. Methidathion is especially useful against scale insects.

Uses:
An Insecticide and acaricide, Methidathion is used to control a broad spectrum of agricultural insect and mite pests on a variety of nut, citrus and stone and pome fruit tree crops, artichokes, olives, cotton, alfalfa (grown for seed), safflower and ornamentals.
Methidathion is a Restricted Use Pesticide applied aerially and by ground methods. There are no residential uses for Methidathion.
Annual domestic use in the U.S. is low -- approximately 241,000 pounds of active ingredient is used per year.

Formulation:
Methidathion is available in emulsifiable concentrate, wettable powder, and ultra-low volume (ULV) liquid formulations.
